Tuesday Rant....

Something is wrong with my tablet setting. As you can see from my previous posts, no paragraphs came out, even the uploaded photos. Gila already I tell you.

Anyway, I will have to skip the Phuket trip for once. I just want to share what's been up with my life of late.

My baby Emily turned 1 last week, June 8th. How time flies. I will never forget the first time I really held her in my arms. I just could not stop myself from touching her small lips, because everything seemed surreal. The feeling of wanting to protect this small fella was just overwhelming.

And thus the beginning of parenthood.

Everyday is a new experience with her. You do not expect her to suddenly crawling on her knees, but she got you by surprise. You do not think that someone so tiny could actually understand what you want them to do. But they do. They just do. "Emily, listen to Mommy. I said NO. " She looked at me and smiled coyly, then purposely dropped her food from her eating chair. I would get exasperate that moment, but it was for a brief second.

Motherly instinct always kick me when I stare at her (long) as she fell asleep, sometimes snoring. She looks less rascal. She would grab my point fingers with her tiny fingers, and it calms me. She would roll her body close to mine just so she can sleep better, and I'm loving it even though it means that I have to share the side of my bed with my little rascal. May God always bless this love forever.

The sole reason why I don't blog nowadays. Family commitment, so many things going on with a full pace, I just could not grab myself to sit down and type rants. Playing with Emily and listening to The Hubby telling me about his upcoming events project, all that tires me. And when I do get my chance to relax, it's already 2.30AM in the morning. I kid you not, but I have tons of stories I want to share with you my blogpeeps. I will normally promise myself to write it down before I hit the sack.

NOPE! It normally won't happen. My inner self will curse me of being crazy for wanting to do blogging over resting. And yes, by the time contemplation was done, both my beloved were already snoring soundly.

Huhuhu... What a lame excuse!

Surviving Motherhood

Life is a total change just as soon as little Emily came into this world. Sleepless nights, weird eating habits, never- ending house chores and much more were injected into our lives.

Thank God for The Hubby, as he has been so patient in handling my super- moody attitude. The baby, as adorable as she is, can take the toll out of my excitement of being a mother. I know, every newbie mothers experience this. Some may get through this like a breeze, while others, well, let's just say it's just depressing.

Surviving motherhood, I am still doing it ever since my mom flew back home 2 weeks during my confinement. I gotta say, the first 2 weeks afterwards without Mom was hard. Really hard especially when I kept on having the feeling of doing it alone. I had to take care of Emily and myself as I still have not completed my confinement period. I remember crying when I still have a heavy flow "period" even at the fourth week. And it is just hard when everyone around keeps on putting pressure on breastfeeding and scolded when I told them that I give my Emily formula every night, for my convenient sake. All accused me of being a lazy arse, when what they didn't know is that there was a night I almost dropped my baby from my lap during breastfeeding. She was only 4 days old. From that moment on, I have decided to just give her with bottle at night. Faster, safer. I am still pumping for stock though.

Thank God I am still Emily's favourite kilang susu instead of the formulas. Hehe.

Emily is now 7 weeks old. Of course there's still some nights where she just robbed our sleep away. Wailing and screaming for apparently no reason. But I guess The Hubby and I are getting better at handling her. By the way, she can see and smile for us already! So happy.

ya, still have a long way to go before I get back to my pre- pregnancy body. Am doing lots of dancing and house chores at home to burn all that baby fat!

OK la.. time for her to change into pyjamas. Happy Weekend you all!!
