I should have blogged about it when I was mad pissed at her. Now all I have is a cluttered mind with life events in my head........ fuh.
I do not understand my superior. We don't have to click. I do not have any intention to be her best buddy, or maybe even a buddy. However, I do respect her position. I admire her ability in solving the lab stuff, but damn her emotional intelligence is almost zero. Suck at managing people which in her case can be a downfall. Not to me, but her. Needless to mention about our feelings, she has a huge lack in that.
I had a breakdown last Wednesday because of her. She chooses a junior over me to be in a meeting! And that happened right after I told her I intend to join the meeting since there was nothing much to do in the lab. I know that she likes that junior more than me, but you don't have to show it that obvious. I was so shocked, the junior felt so bad since she didn't want to hurt neither of our feelings but then decided to follow her to meeting. Superior menang.
I hate hate hate a Superior who practises favoritism. Why do it at work? Do it only with your shoes, or clothes, or cars (if you have more than 1 at home) .. Do not do favoritism with people. It hurts them. I see so many examples of parents being extra nice to one of their kids, and it is just intolerant. You do not think the other kids of yours does not deserve to be loved equally even though they might lack in areas that you favoured in your "most beloved son/daughter".
And when it comes to work, be professional. You are someone we look up to. My friends and I are tired of taking your shitty attitude. You give all the important work that I once handled to my junior, and now I am left like a jobless punk. I do not understand you one bit. Do whatever you want. Favour her whatever you want since you girls talk the same Northern language, but if you give me a KPI I do not think I deserve, I will, without a doubt, complain to the right channel.
I hope you will read this. For once, try to tackle the EQ. I do not think anyone here likes you anyway. I used to look up at you, wanting to be almost like you with your skills and knowledge. Now? All I see in you is you being my Head of Unit. No more, no less.
Respect? ..Only for the position you are in now... Not the person.
I never have to explain myself to anybody..... Because the person who likes me doesn't need it. And the person who dislikes me won't believe it...

April Story
And I'm entering the third trimester now. Gah! How time flies! And I've ballooned to over 60kg! From someone who had never experience hitting the 50kg on weighing scale, to a shoot up of 18kg heavier! Been having leg cramps and heartburn lately, and a walk in the mall is not without stopping every 15 minutes just to stand still or even sitting down.
The baby inside is all about doing the somersaulting or just kicking. Can't wait to see the tots.
On the other note, my worklife has been slightly less headache ever since my Unit has a new Head of Unit. She is more attentive and I have to admit she has the genuine quality to become a leader. She thinks ahead and can come up with brilliant ideas. I am kind of glad that she is around, especially right now, with my movement being limited from the bulge and not being able to deal much with chemicals.
So many things to rant about, but I'm so in rush to submit my monthly report via email. Blog soon!

SEJIWA SENADA EXHIBITION
Right now, I am writing from my department's booth that has been set up for "Sejiwa Senada" Exhibition 2 days ago.The event started on 11/06/2010 until 13/06/2010, and there's around 120 booths from government and private agencies involve.... Today is my turn to sit in at the booth, and the weather is freaking sunny and scorching hot!!! I'm sweating like 2 pigs, combined! I have no idea what's the deal with this "Sejiwa Senada" but I'm guessing it's for the Sarawak Chief Minister to be closer to the rakyat's. Sigh.. And it's SUNDAY, where I'm supposed to still curl in my bed, with air- conditioner blasting its way all gooood..I can only imagine now...
The crowd is getting bigger at each ticking minute. There's a lot of contest going on, and the prizes are not bad. 42" plasma TV (s) are real catch! I myself went to try the contest yesterday, but no luck :(.. You see, the winners were being announced every hour.
OK! I have to hand out H1N1 and Dengue fever pamphlets, to name a few, like right now. And it's getting hotter and hotter here... OMG!!!! I will upload some pictures of the booth soon .

My Biological Age is 18!! Yahtzee! :)
I attended Sarawak Women Forum 2010 organised by Adroit Global Network last Monday (23rd March 2010), with its team "BUTTERFLY".. Yeah, this is a super late entry to tell you guys what happened during the forum. But I'm still gonna, because I'm happy of this one particular finding during our lunch break.
I seriously gotta thank my own self for having the determination to go to my dance workout 3 times per week. It paid off!.. My body is as fit as a 18 year old girl! weeeeheee!!! I decided to join the dance workout when I saw this few cellulite lines last February, but well, that's another story to tell..
Back to my story again, I'm happy with the result, minus the weird body weight of course. You see, we might be 45 but have the body of a 30 y.o lady. With proper eating( which I ain't practising much!) and a balance of physical activities, it'll help the body. One of my friend did her biological age test, mind you first, she's a retired nurse, age 59. Her biological age? 45! That explains the young look.
I went to a slimming centre booth in the hall where we had our forum after having a big lunch, to kill some time before the forum resumed. A girl who sat at the counter, probably the company's representative, told me to fill in a form of my personal and to proceed to her friend who was busy clicking buttons at a weighing machine. I finished the form and started to walk towards the machine, when the girl at the counter told me, with her friendly face, that I doesn't need to do the weighing considering my thin figure. " You might be in for a surprise. I might have a body of a 40 year old, I've no healthy eating regime."
I reached the machine, where I was greeted by the busy lady. She smiled and asked me to remove my shoes before stepping onto the machine. Then she asked me to hold a string with handle bar- like and just stand still. I stood there, hoping to see good numbers.
Boy! was I in for my own surprise!.. I weighted only 43.3kg! I've never had that measurement eversince I left college. It's just too abnormal to me being too skinny again. I honestly thought I gain few kilos of late, with my bingeing and late dinners. I started to cringe, almost in disgust, because I was seriously not hoping to be that skinny. (my normal weight is 46kg)
She asked me to try the weighing again, and the result was still the same. She then took my body fat % (Result: category lowest body fat. woo hoo!), skeletal muscle % (Result: category highest skeletal musle...erm, pathetic me?).... And my Biological Age is :

All in all about this forum, it was a fun escapades for me. From the office, from my overload paperworks. I have to thank my boss for sending me for the forum.( Thanks Dr. R!!) The whole day was filled with motivational talks, health care (obesity and it's implication as well as our women skin health. How our skin age and what can we do to slow down the process. The speakers were invited from Kuching as well as from Singapore.
And oh! We had a handful bag of goodies! A souvenir mug, some calcium supplement pills and vouchers, to name a few. Loved it!.jpg)

The event ended at 5.30pm, where the closing ceremony was done by YB Datin Fatimah Abdullah. Kinda bit late from the schedule, but oh well..I had fun!
p/s: They HAVE TO change the emcee for next year's forum. She was so not professional in handling the event. Seriously suck at English pronounciation, and the grammar? alamak!.. I'm not saying that I'm better than her, but at least I know the ground I'm standing. I've a lintang pukang English grammar too, yes. That''s why you don't see me being an emcee, at just, anywhere. Geez...

When Boss Yells...

I miss the days when my superior yelled at me for his attitude of being a boss(for no solid reason, seriously...). I'd later walk out of his room, knowing it's time for yet another gossipping( and cursing) time as well and, of course, started to work my ass on whatever ridiculous task he had assigned me to do. It's good sometimes though, because with that you will understand more about his attitude at workplace..I didn't last long though. Hahahhaa.. (why the heck did I mention about understandiing him at the first place....bleurrrgghhh!hahah)
Been almost 3 years since I left that kind of working scenario...I resigned from the company, , hopped from a private sector to government.. totally different environment for me.. I was an auditee last time, and now I get to be an auditor for premises..hahaha.. watta switch of role...Perhaps I should tell you about my experience of working at a chicken slaughtering plant in future post huh?....
Anyway, back to my story.... which happened this morning..
"Dee, Boss is asking you to be present at his office room"
"Now??" " Yes"
*******
I got scolded for the first time by this new boss ( He joined the department a month ago....and well, he has the reputation of being stern, and ermmm scary). I've never been scolded by my other previous bosses ever since I entered this department. ..He pointed out his points, I tried to defend myself, but he then shut me up with words.I could feelmy cheeks went burning hot, my ears were salsaing spice... Somehow, after a while,I managed to smile at him after his sarcastic remarks to me in front of 3 others colleagues. He surprisingly return my smile, adding "Dee, go find the real deal about this matter and please clarify the procedure with them all. Including to the factory involved.. And you," he pointed his finger to my colleagues," don't simply assume stuff. Thank God I went pretty humble by simply saying I can't say much because I need to refer back the procedure. (one of the reason why he almost yelled at me.. )
But funny as it may sound, I didn't really feel as embarrassed as I was 3 years ago Maybe it's because I've been through worse than that with previous boss... What doesn't kill you, well, it does makes you stronger.
