Today marks the 1st month of me being officially(yes, holy matrimony is the one I consider the most legal .ehe) married. With so many things going on at a very face pace currently, I don't even have time to do sighing..... Until now... Ready??
SIGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH........
*that felt good!*
Ok! My KL wedding story!! It was another crazy AND kan-cheong day. I guess it applies to all weddings right? You can't escape from the anxiety and not to mention running here and there, and what not.. I was super busy until the wedding ended. That too not without our friends bangings at our bridal suite door room for us to join the after party.
Alright.. Let me refresh back what happened on that eventful day la ha. A day before the wedding, I went to my new office to report duty. What? I haven't told you about me being transferrred to Selangor from Sarawak?.. u'oh. Sorry... See? I told you I have tons to tell about Anyway, let's skip it. Even towards a day before wedding day, The Hubby and I were still running around the Hartamas and Damansara area to have a last minute wedding shopping. Sorted out our bridesmaids dresses, picking up mens' tux and everyone's dresses from the laundry shop, even doing printings on our church booklets. And oh! Not forgetting my necklace and earrings set. It was a real last minute thing. But somehow The Hubby and I are good at doing procrastinate job. hahha... It's like we're saving the best for last. My jewellery set were THE BOMB, i tell you.. Simple and sweet. Suited my dress.. Cheh cheh.. self praise is a no praise, I supposed? ehehe
On the wedding day, all us woke up early but typical procrastinator sisters I have, they're still lazying in their bed, thinking that they'll make it in time for the make up and hair dos. Turned out to be, 3 hours was not enough to do all 4 girls, me included. The two make up artists were still spraying my sister's hair even until us all step out of the house!.. ah, yes. I had my 2 sisters to be my bridesmaids and The Hubby's sister as my maid of honour. All girls looked superb, with them deciding to have the same hairstyle for the church wedding. I remember being so excited to see The Hubby at the altar, since he has never actually seen me in a full wedding attire.
Yes, both The Hubby and I had never seen each other at our best wedding look. We skipped the bridal attire indoor-outdoor photoshoot and bridal package because, we want to be thrilled and excited when seeing each other with our best attire on our big day itself... [lus it's not cheap to get a bridal package. We did survey lots of bridal shops and yes, it's not cheap at all..Which is also another reason why we decided to do everything on our own. The dresses of both mine and my bridsmaids, The Hubby's 3 piece suits as well as his bestmens'. Seriously, everything was a DIY. Come to think about it again, we actually spent more than what we could have gotten ourselves from the bridal shops..the suit cost RM15oo++ each, and we did 5 suits(our dads included), plus my dresses. But hey, we get to keep the dresses! eheee
We had our ups and downs along the process... (yerp! berapa baldi penuh to takung my airmata gaduh about wedding arrangement all the while).. But I gotta say, it's worth everything. The night after the wedding, The Hubby and I looked at each other. He smiled and said," We did it, baby..Finally..." and the best part was when he said," I'll never want to do this anymore."... yea, we're a content newly wedded couple......
OK. Let's get back on the holy matrimony ceremony. It was held at St. Ignatius Church, Petaling Jaya. Everything went so fast. So many people taking photos, and Father Simon who officiated the ceremony was very funny. The funniest part was when he sprinkled holy water into tray to bless our rings. He sprinkled too much, that our bridesman who's holding the tray gave him that aiyo-too-much-that-my-tux-is-getting-soak-wet look. Father Simon, being himself, expressed a "OOPS.. Sorry..." face... damn funny..
Both parents being parents got so emotional during the time where they were given chance to sprinkle us both with holy water. Yes, I felt like in a part of a Malay wedding pun ada, macam majlis merenjis2 la pulak. Both mothers cried. The Hubby swore he saw my dad shedding some tears.. mmmmm, my dad being emotional... such cute...
The photo session after the wedding took more than an hour. I had to throw my hand bouquet twice because the first time I threw, a 12 year old girl got it.
OK! I'll continue this story soon. Gotta hit the sack now.. till then..
