When Things get Ugly...

I should have blogged about it when I was mad pissed at her. Now all I have is a cluttered mind with life events in my head........ fuh.

I do not understand my superior. We don't have to click. I do not have any intention to be her best buddy, or maybe even a buddy. However, I do respect her position. I admire her ability in solving the lab stuff, but damn her emotional intelligence is almost zero. Suck at managing people which in her case can be a downfall. Not to me, but her. Needless to mention about our feelings, she has a huge lack in that.

I had a breakdown last Wednesday because of her. She chooses a junior over me to be in a meeting! And that happened right after I told her I intend to join the meeting since there was nothing much to do in the lab. I know that she likes that junior more than me, but you don't have to show it that obvious. I was so shocked, the junior felt so bad since she didn't want to hurt neither of our feelings but then decided to follow her to meeting. Superior menang.

I hate hate hate a Superior who practises favoritism. Why do it at work? Do it only with your shoes, or clothes, or cars (if you have more than 1 at home) .. Do not do favoritism with people. It hurts them. I see so many examples of parents being extra nice to one of their kids, and it is just intolerant. You do not think the other kids of yours does not deserve to be loved equally even though they might lack in areas that you favoured in your "most beloved son/daughter".

And when it comes to work, be professional. You are someone we look up to. My friends and I are tired of taking your shitty attitude. You give all the important work that I once handled to my junior, and now I am left like a jobless punk. I do not understand you one bit. Do whatever you want. Favour her whatever you want since you girls talk the same Northern language, but if you give me a KPI I do not think I deserve, I will, without a doubt, complain to the right channel.

I hope you will read this. For once, try to tackle the EQ. I do not think anyone here likes you anyway. I used to look up at you, wanting to be almost like you with your skills and knowledge. Now? All I see in you is you being my Head of Unit. No more, no less.

Respect? ..Only for the position you are in now... Not the person.

Thursday Rant.. Woohoo!!

My dashboard seem so sad nowadays. I used to see so many fresh blog updates before. But now all seemed dead. Most have moved domain, some even opted to be out of the blogging world.

I know who to blame. Or rather, what to blame.

The Ipads, Tablets and all the smartphones!

We thought by purchasing these gadgets will keep us writing, and thus we bought them. We thought we will read more about our friends, or some stories from strangers more than our previous method which was the desktop.

NOPE !

The gadgets cut short everything. Suddenly everyone's leaving Friendster and start creating account on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc. It just seemed so convenient. The normal lengthy expressing post in blogs become micro ( hello to Tumblr) where most got fed up of reading stuff of more than 2 paragraphs long.. Most of us will blame commitment hold us back from writing, when it's actually Candy Crush Saga or Bejewelled Blitz.

Sigh...... and why am I back blogging again, knowing that no one will take time and read, I still don't get it.

Maybe this is the real escapade that I've been looking for this whole time. This is my real definition of vacation. To be able to express what's been cluttering my mind into words, even if it's not in the perfect English grammar. To be able to laugh and smile again upon reading other people who shares the same interest like us.

Hurmmm..

This is good. This feels good. It feels just right. For once after many years, I feel free in heart. I feel at ease..

Or maybe I'm just having too much free time in hands.

Tuesday Rant....

Something is wrong with my tablet setting. As you can see from my previous posts, no paragraphs came out, even the uploaded photos. Gila already I tell you.

Anyway, I will have to skip the Phuket trip for once. I just want to share what's been up with my life of late.

My baby Emily turned 1 last week, June 8th. How time flies. I will never forget the first time I really held her in my arms. I just could not stop myself from touching her small lips, because everything seemed surreal. The feeling of wanting to protect this small fella was just overwhelming.

And thus the beginning of parenthood.

Everyday is a new experience with her. You do not expect her to suddenly crawling on her knees, but she got you by surprise. You do not think that someone so tiny could actually understand what you want them to do. But they do. They just do. "Emily, listen to Mommy. I said NO. " She looked at me and smiled coyly, then purposely dropped her food from her eating chair. I would get exasperate that moment, but it was for a brief second.

Motherly instinct always kick me when I stare at her (long) as she fell asleep, sometimes snoring. She looks less rascal. She would grab my point fingers with her tiny fingers, and it calms me. She would roll her body close to mine just so she can sleep better, and I'm loving it even though it means that I have to share the side of my bed with my little rascal. May God always bless this love forever.

The sole reason why I don't blog nowadays. Family commitment, so many things going on with a full pace, I just could not grab myself to sit down and type rants. Playing with Emily and listening to The Hubby telling me about his upcoming events project, all that tires me. And when I do get my chance to relax, it's already 2.30AM in the morning. I kid you not, but I have tons of stories I want to share with you my blogpeeps. I will normally promise myself to write it down before I hit the sack.

NOPE! It normally won't happen. My inner self will curse me of being crazy for wanting to do blogging over resting. And yes, by the time contemplation was done, both my beloved were already snoring soundly.

Huhuhu... What a lame excuse!

Phuket Love Part 1

Phew! Only now I got the chance to blog about Phuket. And it has to be scripted into parts, because I intend to rant long about this trip.

The Hubby and I had been planning for this trip when I was 8 months pregnant, plus the fact that we bought our flight to Phuket with the cheapest deal we could ever grab. RM158 return flight each, what is there not to be excited about?

I am going to break this experience down in points. I lost touch of blogging and it will take a while to be able to blog properly again.

Phuket point #1 : Transportation
If you had just arrived the airport and are travelling backpackers style, it's best to ditch the taxi and take the van cab instead. It is way cheaper and if you are lucky, you will be able to meet new fun friends sharing the van with you. Pricing is 160Bh(Chalong), 180Bh(Patong) and 200Bh (Kata), which is approximately around RM17 to RM22. The normal cab will charge you around 800++Bh. The van cab is very spacious. They are nothing like our van sewa here, so you don't have to worry about being comfortable. The only setback is that you have to wait for the van to fill up customers which in our case took around half an hour (or more).. The choice is up to you.

Phuket point #2 : Journey from Airport Phuket International Airport is blardy far from the tourist area! If you are thinking of skipping meal because you think it's best to do check- in first, DON'T. It's best to prepare light snacks and drinks before the journey as it will take you more than 1 hour to reach at any 3 tourist places mentioned above. And the traffic jam is almost as horrendous as KL jam, or maybe The Hubby and I were not that lucky. Everyone seemed to be rushing to go to work at 9am thus the congestion. Van or cab that you take from the airport will stop at what seem to be an intermission stop, with driver's excuse want to take something for his van. Do not worry, you are not being held hostage by them. If you notice you are stopping in front of a travelling agency office. The driver will ask for a 10 mins break and you are leave to no choice but to wander around that place hence the office. The agents (mostly girls) will try to promote you their travelling trip agendas. From kayaking at Phan Nga Bay, to James Bond Island snorkelling even Simon Cabaret show, it's the whole deal of promotion. A If you think you want to buy some trips, try to bargain the price as low as possible. The pricing, if you are good at bargaining, will be lower than buying the trips at the place where are staying. We bought only one trip for 1250Bh to Island Hoping which was a very good deal. I cannot remember the place. Hahaha.. silly me.. But will definitely tell you along this rant. We found out we got it for a good price when 2 to 3 promoters at Patong area approached us, giving us a price of 1750Bh. Tawar- tawar pun cuma boleh turun to 1400Bh only.

Ok. Two points as of now, enough? Will continue real soon! While waiting, do enjoy some photos of us.

Ohmaii... When was my last post here??

Hi! I have been abandoning this page for oh-so-many months and the real reason is because of my laptop. The lagging and frustration of waiting for it to "warm- up" after logging it, it frustrates me. I know I should not come with this lame excuse because after all blogging is all about putting thoughts in words. Why the delay, right? Not that I did not try to do decluttering or even sending the laptop for service. After a while, I got fed- up and just gave up. So many stories to tell, but the lack of motivation to type or even just simply borrowing The Hubby's laptop, which by the way is far so convenient, it just kind of ate the mood to blog. Not anymore. I had just bought me a new baby. Hello hello Asus Transformer Prime! So loving my new toy right now. Well, what is there not to love when I can have the best of both world when it can be transformed to Tablet at anytime. Or just slot in with its keypad and I have myself a netbook. Not to mention that I can plug in my USB and can do editing on works with Polaris Office application. Of course there's Ipad and Tablets of many brands and prizes, but call me old fashioned I ststill love typing with keyboard. Everything comes easier with the clicking of the board. So, yah. You guys gotta welcome me back into the blogosphere, because I am planning to rant more often now. Tee heeee... Till then! Love, Deedee

Sayonara Facebook

I've been bittered by Facebook for the past one year. Had it not been the tool to show videos and pictures of my daughter to families, my FB account will be long gone. Had it not been my favourite online boutique selling stuff using FB, I would just walk away from this sosial network. Still remember the year I joined FB. It was in July 2007. I received an invitation to create an account to join the mmbers. The site was quiet back then and rapidly inclining in number of members. Until 2010, it was still enjoyable. So many things to tell you, but I am just too malas.. Follow me on twitter and instagram ya.. As for FB, I need some time off from you. You bring me no more meaning in life. I feel no more love from you. BYE FACEBOOK.

When I Need You

Hi you allz! yerp! This year I am going to start being active back in blogging.
Been abandoning my own page for the longest time and it just looks pathetic.
My writing skill has gone downhill tremendously.

2012 was a year where each day went by with just a few blinks of eyes but I hope 2013 will cover up for all the mess that the previous year had got me. I have got to start writing again because this is the only way to get me reading (to improve my entry) and to start making more friends. Truth be told, I've been very lonely here in Selangor.

But where's The Hubby and little Emily, you may ask?

It's just not the same like having real buddies (or maybe just ONE good friend) around to stick with you. Someone I can literally share my real interest with, I can shop girl stuff with and as such. Same frequency of thought and insights, man those friends I do have, but they are not in the same city as I am here. I am not that hard to digest actually. I loves shopping stuff with average price. Dressing attire is predictable. My main interest is do people- watching and some nice movies. Not so much into action movies though. I love playing dressing up, thus clubbing is one of my favourite thing to do. And seriously, I missed doinng all those.

I'm a mother but I very much still want to rock the dance floor. Dont know why, just don't care. Hrmmmm.. what else ya? I no longer do any pigging out. I can be a klutz sometimes. Of course I don't expect you to be twice the klutz like I am. hehehe.. Running out of idea now.. (gosh, why the sudden?...

Till then!! Dee xx

Surviving Motherhood

Life is a total change just as soon as little Emily came into this world. Sleepless nights, weird eating habits, never- ending house chores and much more were injected into our lives.

Thank God for The Hubby, as he has been so patient in handling my super- moody attitude. The baby, as adorable as she is, can take the toll out of my excitement of being a mother. I know, every newbie mothers experience this. Some may get through this like a breeze, while others, well, let's just say it's just depressing.

Surviving motherhood, I am still doing it ever since my mom flew back home 2 weeks during my confinement. I gotta say, the first 2 weeks afterwards without Mom was hard. Really hard especially when I kept on having the feeling of doing it alone. I had to take care of Emily and myself as I still have not completed my confinement period. I remember crying when I still have a heavy flow "period" even at the fourth week. And it is just hard when everyone around keeps on putting pressure on breastfeeding and scolded when I told them that I give my Emily formula every night, for my convenient sake. All accused me of being a lazy arse, when what they didn't know is that there was a night I almost dropped my baby from my lap during breastfeeding. She was only 4 days old. From that moment on, I have decided to just give her with bottle at night. Faster, safer. I am still pumping for stock though.

Thank God I am still Emily's favourite kilang susu instead of the formulas. Hehe.

Emily is now 7 weeks old. Of course there's still some nights where she just robbed our sleep away. Wailing and screaming for apparently no reason. But I guess The Hubby and I are getting better at handling her. By the way, she can see and smile for us already! So happy.

ya, still have a long way to go before I get back to my pre- pregnancy body. Am doing lots of dancing and house chores at home to burn all that baby fat!

OK la.. time for her to change into pyjamas. Happy Weekend you all!!

Pride and Joy

I better hurry before she wakes up.

Damn.. So much to tell but dunno where to start..

Who wakes up?.. Emily... Emily, my daughter.. O wait, I have not put any blog about her yet, have I?

Here's a pic after pushing Emily out of her comfort surrounding into a real world, rejoiced by The Hubby and I. It was a  3-day ordeal with not a bit of cheerful experience until she was out of me. Her birthday? June 8th.

Alamak! She is crying already :( continue soon?

Where are you??

I lost my Bible. Been few months now and I am still looking for it. The feeling of losing a Bible, my companion of more than 6 years, is like losing your beloved pet. No amount of new Bible can ever come to replace it.

So many highlighted quotes in it. So many photos inside.

April Story

And I'm entering the third trimester now. Gah! How time flies!

And I've ballooned to over 60kg! From someone who had never experience hitting the 50kg on weighing scale, to a shoot up of 18kg heavier! Been having leg cramps and heartburn lately, and a walk in the mall is not without stopping every 15 minutes just to stand still or even sitting down.

The baby inside is all about doing the somersaulting or just kicking. Can't wait to see the tots.

On the other note, my worklife has been slightly less headache ever since my Unit has a new Head of Unit. She is more attentive and I have to admit she has the genuine quality to become a leader. She thinks ahead and can come up with brilliant ideas. I am kind of glad that she is around, especially right now, with my movement being limited from the bulge and not being able to deal much with chemicals.

So many things to rant about, but I'm so in rush to submit my monthly report via email. Blog soon!

Double Standard?

First off, Happy Joyous Deepavali to all my Hindu friends near and far. I'm excited for our first (and the only, perhaps?) Deepavali open house tomorrow after work.. makan makan makan!..

Anyway, I've a story to tell. Happened last night. The Hubby and I got so bored at home, so we drove around The Strand, Kota Damansara and decided to go karaoke-ing. The Hubby decided to call the place first for booking. Receptionist answered, and with her thick Chinese accent apologised to us, saying that it's fully booked.

And so we drove around again...movie? gah! boring... clubbing?...just not that happening with just us two. Balik?... so early??

While driving, The Hubby turned his head to me and said, " Wanna try our luck again on calling the karaoke centre?... Let me be a Mat Salleh this time."

"Imagined if they have a place for us. that'll be a real double standard, dont you think?"

The Hubby made that all.

I covered my giggles with both hands the whole conversation. The Hubby really sounded like an American from San Fran.

oooo.. what a night..
